The Penn State football team has been able to carry their success from the Lasch Bash into the following week. As players are continuing to walk away with positive impressions of the university. On Friday, member of the 2025 recruiting class and three-star cornerback Cameron Miller announced his top eight schools. They included Michigan, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Illinois, Rutgers, Syracuse, Georgia, and Penn State. This is an athlete who can play both sides of the ball at wide receiver and cornerback but according to the major recruiting sites he is being pursued at the next level as a cornerback.
Penn State football lands in the top 8 schools with 2025 3-star CB
Cameron Miller announced his top eight schools on Friday after his most recent unofficial visit which was to Penn State over this past weekend as he was invited to the annual Lasch Bash. The three-star prospect plays his high school football at Winslow Twp High School and his current head coach is former Penn State running back Bill Belton.
It’s a very positive sign that the Nittany Lions have been included in Miler’s top 8 after being on campus as it shows that the Nittany Lions and Terry Smith have the foundation established to continue building this relationship. Also, being from New Jersey coming to a game this fall, and/or visiting campus again are all achievable within a few hour drive. This is an intriguing prospect that could bolster the 2025 recruiting class.
The 2025 recruiting class has started off on the right foot
Although it is early, the Penn State 2025 recruiting class has started off strong. The Nittany Lions currently have a top-five class when compared to the national rankings according to 247sports. They have two four-star prospects in Jaelyne Matthews and Kiandrea Barker and one three-star prospect in Omari Gaines. But given that Miller is a relatively local prospect, it feels like Penn State has a great opportunity to seal the deal with him as long as they continue to maintain the relationship.
