The Dante Cephas experience was short-lived with the Penn State football team. Just under a year was how long Cephas was committed and suited up for the Nittany Lions. Following the Peach Bowl loss to Ole Miss Cephas decided to enter the transfer portal for a second time in as many seasons. Cephas has picked up a crystal ball prediction to land at Kansas State.
Former Penn State football WR predicted to land in the Big 12
Dante Cephas entered the transfer portal on January 3rd. But it didn’t take him long to visit other schools. The first and only publicly announced visit at this point was to Kansas State last weekend. He made a good impression during his visit and Kansas State made a good impression on Cephas. As Ryan Wallace who is an insider for Kansas State’s 247sports affiliate has placed a crystal ball for the Wildcats to land the former Penn State football wide receiver. Cephas finished his lone season at Penn State with 22 catches for 246 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Why Kansas State?
Many Penn State fans know that Dante Cephas is from Penn Hills, PA so why would he have an interest in Kansas State? It’s about the familiar faces. His career started at Kent State where he dominated the MAC competition. Ahead of the 2023 season, Kansas State hired former Kent State wide receiver coach Matthew Middleton. If Cephas wants to get back to his peak form he is hoping his old coach can help him get there.
