The Penn State football team rebounded nicely after a close win over Indiana last weekend. That everyone around the country including Nittany Lion fans took into consideration. Now, after dismantling Maryland 51-15 the team and Drew Allar are optimistic that the AP Poll voters will recognize their efforts. Remember that the true rankings are from the College Football Playoff Top 25 from this point forward. Last week Penn State was No. 9 in the AP Poll and No. 11 in the College Football Playoff rankings.

BREAKING: Penn State football holds in the AP Poll after Maryland win

Yesterday, we saw one of the most dominating performances from the Penn State football team this season. Especially considering how this team has played on the road in 2023. From start to finish Drew Allar looked at his best, his gunslinger mentality was on full display, ripping pass after pass in his 4 touchdown performance with wide receiver Dante Cephas having the best game of his PSU career. The defense continued to show how disruptive they can be allowing less than 250 total yards and holding Maryland to negative 49 rushing yards for the game.

Hopefully, the AP Poll voters noticed how great this team can be. You want to show each voter and the committee that your team is playing their best football in November, and so far Penn State is doing that very well. Now, the week 11 AP Top 25 has been released, the Nittany Lions are the No. 9 team again this week.

Without any major upsets ahead of Penn State this vote makes sense, but remember that the biggest game of the Nittany Lion’s season is almost upon us. As the No. 2 ranked (in the AP Poll) Michigan Wolverines come to Beaver Stadium next Saturday.
