It’s game day! The Penn State football team inches closer to kickoff in its first road game of the season. The Nittany Lions will take on the Illinois Fighting Illini at noon Eastern time on FOX. But before we get ready for kickoff, let’s review the most recent injury report that Penn State has just released. Did the Nittany Lions get back any players who have missed the first two games of the season?
Penn State football releases injury report for Illinois game
As many of you know the Penn State football team will be without LG Landon Tengwall moving forward as he was forced to medically retire. The Nittany Lions will also be without DT Alonzo Ford and DE Smith Vilbert as James Franklin said earlier this season they have season-ending injuries.
The key players that Penn State has been without the first two games include CB Daequan Hardy, DT Coziah Izzard, and DE Amin Vanover. Then it was wide receiver Malick Megia who appeared on the availability report before the Delaware game. But here is who is in and who is out against Illinois today.
Today’s availability report features WR Malick Meiga who will miss his second consecutive game as he is listed as OUT. Also, Harrison Wallace III is on the report as he is listed as QUESTIONABLE. But the Nittany Lions will have CB Daequan Hardy, DT Coziah Izzard, and DE Amin Vanover today which is massive for this team.
