We are just over a week removed from Blue/White weekend, and things are already starting to heat up for the Nittany Lions on the recruiting trail. On Sunday, 4-star wideout Dre’lon Miller — a top-ranked receiver recruit from Texas — trimmed his list down to nine schools; Penn State football is still in the running and is the only Big Ten team to make his most recent list.

Penn State football is still contending for 4-star wideout Dre’lon Miller

Dre’lon Miller is a major recruit for many southern programs, such as the LSU Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, and more. This weekend, the 4-star Texas wideout trimmed his finalist list down to nine schools, and Penn State football remains in some elite company on the recruiting trail. Alongside the Nittany Lions are notable programs like Georgia, USC, Miami (FL), Florida, LSU, Duke, Texas A&M, and Tennessee.

4-star wideout Dre’lon Miller is a 247 Sports Composite 4-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 65 recruit in the 2024 class, the No. 13 wide receiver in the class, and the No. 13 recruit in the state of Texas. Additionally, Miller has a college-ready frame (6-foot, nearly 200 pounds) and an incredible amount of talent to match, hence why he has so much national interest. Miller is yet to visit Penn State football thus far, though that could change over the summer recruiting period; getting him on a visit will be major for the Nittany Lions seeing as he is quite high on Penn State’s game day atmosphere.

“The way they recruit me is great and they have one of the best college game days so that’ll be special to be a part of,” Miller told Hayes Fawcett of On3 about Penn State following his top-9 announcement on Sunday.
