STATE COLLEGE, PA — On Sunday, the Penn State Nittany Lions received some great news on the recruiting trail. Steve Wiltfong, the director of recruiting for 247 Sports, placed two 2025 crystal balls for Penn State football to land a pair of offensive prospects.
247 Sports director of recruiting places two crystal balls for Penn State football
The Penn State football team and its head coach, James Franklin, are starting to heat up on the recruiting trail. As of late, the Nittany Lions have been getting more prospects on visits to State College, and even locked down a pair of 2024 four-star recruits within the past month. According to Wiltfong, Penn State’s 2025 class could be getting even better soon here.
The first player that Penn State football is expected to land is 2025 wide receiver Quanell X Farrakhan Jr., who is rated as a four-star prospect and ranked as the No. 105 player in his class, the No. 21 2025 wide receiver, and the No. 15 player in the state of Texas. He is a product of The Woodlands High School.
The second player that Penn State football could pull according to Wiltfong is elite 2025 running back Kiandrea Barker, who is also a product of The Woodlands High School in TX. Barker is a 247 Sports composite four-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 66 player in the nation, the No. 6 running back in the 2025 class, and the No. 10 player in the state of Texas.
Both of these recruits could make deadly additions for Penn State football in the coming seasons, and landing these crystal balls is a great sign for the Nittany Lions. Thus far, Wiltfong is 100% accurate in his 2025 predictions, and is generally the most reliable recruiting insider around, so these crystal balls should be taken for what they are: a good indication that Penn State is the frontrunner for both players. As we all know, nothing is set in stone until pen touches paper; however, this is a great step in the right direction given how young the 2025 class is right now.
