Lyrick Samuel announced early on Sunday morning on Twitter/X that he was in State College for the Elite 11 event. Samuel who made his commitment to the Penn State football team on February 19, continues to prove why he’s an incredible prospect.

On3 currently ranks Samuel as a top-25 wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class. He currently holds a four-star ranking and is also regarded as the No. 1 player in New York. The Brooklyn, NY native had a “strong day” in State College on Sunday, according to Sean Fitz of Blue-White Illustrated.

It was hard to miss his several highlights that continued to appear throughout the day on Sunday. Samuel was recently awarded the Under Armour Next-Up Camp MVP at the beginning of May.

Dia Bell turns heads for underclassmen

While the All 22 focuses on position players, the Elite 11 is searching for the top high school quarterback prospects in the country. 2025 recruiting class member and Penn State commit Bekkem Kritza had an impressive day. But as the Nittany Lions look ahead towards the 2026 recruiting class, it was Dia Bell who showed out.

Bell is regarded as the No. 2 QB in the 2026 cycle and has recently spoken about why he would be a ‘good fit’ with Penn State. While there’s a long way to go in 2026 recruiting, Bell has continued to show why he’s a difference-maker. He did that again over the weekend in State College.
