Penn State football is getting more of a battle than it may have expected from Bowling Green in Week 2. Now, the Nittany Lions may have to go the rest of the game without one of its star defenders, safety KJ Winston.
The junior defensive back left Saturday’s game early in the second quarter following a tackle to Harold Fannin. Winston did not return for the rest of the first half. However, he was spotted on the sideline without his helmet.
KJ Winston had one tackle when he went to the sideline. It should be noted that this situation is fluid, and there is no official word from the Penn State football program regarding Winston’s status for the remainder of Saturday’s game.

At the half, Bowling Green leads Penn State football 24-20. The Nittany Lions defense has allowed 286 yards through two quarters, including 192 through the air.
