The Penn State football team has recently landed multiple top-ten prospects from Maryland. Most recently, it was wide receiver Jeff Exinor who made his commitment to the Nittany Lions on Friday night. But a former Penn State 2025 recruiting target and current Maryland quarterback commit Malik Washington has shared on social media that he believes Exinor should be a Terrapin.

On Friday evening, WR Jeff Exinor made his official pledge to the Penn State football team. The McDonogh School product stands at 6-2 215 pounds. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Exinor is the No. 9 prospect in the state and the No. 52 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle (No. 349 nationally) and ranks as the No. 1 WR in Maryland.

But earlier in the day, QB Malik Washington of the 2025 recruiting class made his commitment as well. But he chose to play his college football at Maryland over Syracuse, UCF, and Virginia Tech. Washington was a one-time Penn State target. During his recruitment, he took ten trips to Happy Valley.

On3 ranks Washington as the No. 32 quarterback and No. 14 prospect in Maryland in the 2025 cycle. On Saturday, he took to Twitter / X to attempt to persuade Jeff Exinor to Maryland after making his Nittany Lion commitment.

“I feel like Jeff Exinor would look better in some red and black. What do y’all think?”

Penn State football trending for another 2025 addition

Friday was a big day for the Nittany Lions in terms of securing a commitment from Exinor. But additionally, they appear to be in the driver’s seat for another 2025 recruiting class prospect defensive lineman Randy Adirika.

On Friday morning, the Nittany Lions received two crystal ball predictions to land Adirika. The Miami Central (Florida) product received predictions from 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Tom Loy, as well as InsideTheU Staff Writer Gaby Urrutia. However, On3 has three predictions logged for Miami, including one from Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons, dating to February and March. This appears to be a battle between the Hurricanes and the Nittany Lions.

Adirkia is a three-star prospect, On3 ranks him as the No. 31 defensive lineman and the No. 57 prospect in Florida. Currently, the Nittany Lions hold the No. 13 recruiting class in 2025 according to On3.
