While for a short few weeks, it felt as if the Penn State football team was on a cold streak in terms of recruiting, they turned things around during the Lasch Bash this past weekend. The Nittany Lions secured two new commitments over the weekend. Now, they are trending towards a third in the 2026 recruiting class. Analysts from On3 and 247Sports have made predictions for Penn State to land edge rusher Daniel Jennings.
The Nittany Lions will make the trip to Morgantown at the end of August to take on the Mountaineers. But before they make the trip they have an opportunity to land the No. 1 player in West Virginia in the 2026 recruiting class. Daniel Jennings is a 6-2 225-pound edge rusher from Princeton (West Virginia).
According to On3, Jennings ranks as the No., 1 player in the state and the No. 14 edge rusher in the 2026 cycle (No. 183 nationally). He is currently unranked on 247Sports and Rivals.
On Monday, Ryan Snyder of On3 logged an RPM with a confidence level of 70% for Penn State to land Jennings. He wasn’t alone with that prediction. As Brian Dohn of 247Sports logged a crystal ball for Jennings to commit to the Nittany Lions with a confidence level of 6.

Both Kevin Brown and Jahsiear Rogers joined the 2026 recruiting for Penn State football on Saturday. But when Rogers made his commitment he was unranked by all recruiting sites.
However, after his commitment to the Nittany Lions, the national scouts went to work. Now, Rogers has earned a three-star ranking from On3. There he is regarded as the No. 1 player in Delaware and the No. 55 receiver in the country in the 2026 recruiting class.
Currently, Penn State holds the No. 2 recruiting class in the country in the 2026 cycle according to On3.
