As the Penn State football team continues to prepare for the 2024 season, the high school football world has also hit the gridiron. Several Nittany Lion commitments want to improve their on-field play to increase their recruiting ranking before heading to college. Penn State 2025 recruiting class has a lone quarterback commit in Bekkem Kritza and on Friday night he showed off his talents in the Miami Super Showdown.

The Miami Super Showdown is a series of exhibition games to kick off a new FHSAA high school football season. Several teams take the field to compete in various game-like scrimmages. One of the featured teams in the Miami Super Showdown was Miami Central.

Penn State football 2025 recruiting class commit Bekkem Kritza attends Miami Central and had the opportunity to showcase his talents. Kritza faced Ocala-Vanguard on Friday night and made two highlight-worth plays. Connecting for two long touchdown passes to kick off his senior season.

Both highlights were featured on the Reaching Athletes With Education Twitter/X page.

What’re the Nittany Lions getting in Kritza?

Bekkem Kritza did not get invited to the Elite 11 Finals. He is not a five-star prospect who is supposed to be the next generational talent for Penn State football. However, that does not mean he would be a valuable asset to the Nittany Lions once he arrives in 2025.

The intriguing part of Kritza and his game is his size. Standing at 6-5 185 pounds on his On3 recruiting profile. What comes with his size is pure gunslinging. In both highlights from the weekend’s scrimmage, you can see he has the arm strength to drive the football down the field.

He also has the mobility and awareness to navigate the pocket. According to Rivals Kritza is a four-star prospect who ranks as the No. 67 player in Florida and the No. 22 QB in the 2025 recruiting class.
