The 2025 recruiting class for Penn State football is beginning to become more clear. That’s largely due to official visits being well underway. When the Nittany Lions can host the prospects they are targeting, one trip to Happy Valley can be a difference maker. Now, it appears that James Franklin and his coaching staff have done it again. Multiple predictions have been made for the No. 1 cornerback in New Jersey, Jahmir Joesph to end up at Penn State.
Jahmir Joesph is a four-star cornerback in the 2025 recruiting class. From Montvale, NJ Joesph is regarded as one of the top prospects in the state and at his respective position. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Joesph is the No. 1 cornerback in New Jersey in the 2025 recruiting class. He ranks as the No. 4 player overall in the state and is a top 25 cornerback in the 2025 recruiting class.
Joesph just finished his official visit with the Penn State football team this past weekend. He has taken official visits to Stanford, and Notre Dame, plus has one upcoming with South Carolina next weekend. On Sunday Brian Dohn a National Recruiting Expert for 247Sports placed a crystal ball for Joesph to commit to Penn State. Dohn was not alone with his prediction as Ryan Snyder of On3 also placed an RPM for the four-star corner to end up in Happy Valley.
Penn State moving on from Josh Johnson
The news that Penn State has found an additional cornerback should not be a surprise to the Nittany Lion faithful. Many were under the impression that 2025 recruiting class cornerback Josh Johnson would be the next defensive back in Happy Valley.
Following his official visit on June 7-9 Johnson received multiple predictions to commit to the Nittany Lions. However, on Friday evening he announced that he would be making his commitment to Louisville. The move came as a surprise to many, including recruiting insiders. Now, Penn State is hopeful they can land Jahmir Joesph to join Daryus Dixon and Xxavier Thomas in the 2025 recruiting class.
