Penn State football will take on Minnesota in two weeks at 3:30 p.m. on CBS, we learned Monday.

The announcement was made as part of the Big Ten’s network designations for Week 13. The Inside Zone’s Matt Fortuna first reported the news. The penultimate week of the regular season, the trip to Minneapolis is the Nittany Lions’ final road trip of 2024.

The battle for the Governor’s Victory Bell commemorating the Nittany Lions’ first Big Ten conference game, Penn State football holds a 10-6 series lead since 1993. James Franklin and the Nittany Lions won the last meeting handily, 45-17, in the 2022 White Out.

Penn State is 4-4 in games played against the Golden Gophers on the road. The last time the Nittany Lions traveled to Huntington Bank Stadium, the stakes were quite similar to this season.

Vying for a College Football Playoff spot, No. 4 Penn State fell to No. 17 Minnesota 31-26. Sean Clifford threw three interceptions, including his final in the end zone with 1:01 remaining to seal the defeat.

This year’s Minnesota team is 6-4, ending a four-game winning streak with a loss at Rutgers on Saturday. The Golden Gophers are on a bye this week while they watch Penn State football to face Purdue.
