This week, James Franklin and Penn State football have been on the winning end of decisions from many standout Nittany Lions regarding the 2025 season. However, the Penn State offense is expected to suffer a significant blow for next year, as top wide receiver Harrison Wallace III is set to enter the transfer portal.

Wallace’s departure was first reported by Matt Zenitz of 247Sports. The redshirt junior wide receiver has not officially announced his status as of Thursday evening.

Harrison Wallace led all Nittany Lion wide receivers with 720 yards and four touchdowns on 46 receptions this fall. His production was second on the roster to only star tight end Tyler Warren.

Wallace will finish his Penn State football career with 1,221 yards and six scores.

Wallace’s departure is the most significant for Penn State football to date, even exceeding that of backup quarterback Beau Pribula.

Starting 15 of 16 games, Wallace is the first Nittany Lion to start double-digit games for Penn State in 2024 and enter the transfer portal. The Nittany Lions also lost No. 2 wide receiver Omari Evans to the portal on Tuesday.
