Penn State football has reclaimed its place in the top five of the AP Poll one week after dropping in the national rankings. The Nittany Lions rose from No. 6 to No. 4 following Saturday night’s dominant 35-6 win over Washington.

After being held to six points offensively against Ohio State, the Nittany Lions scored touchdowns in all four first-half possessions. The 266 rushing yards gained was the second most on the year and the highest total for the offense in conference play.

The rankings movement comes after No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Miami both fell Saturday afternoon. The loss was the Hurricanes’ first and the Bulldogs’ second on the season.

The Nittany Lions also moved up two spots in the Coaches Poll earlier Sunday afternoon, going from No. 7 to No. 5.

The full AP top 25 is as follows:
  1. Oregon
  2. Ohio State
  3. Texas
