After hosting several top players along the defensive front this weekend, Penn State football is now shifting its attention in the transfer portal to the offense. On Wednesday and Thursday, James Franklin and the Nittany Lions are expected to welcome former Ball State wide receiver Justin Bowick to Happy Valley.

News of Bowick’s impending visit was broken by Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of 247Sports. According to Zenitz and Hummer, the junior wide receiver had been planning a midweek visit to Cincinnati. That trip has now been bumped in favor of the Nittany Lions.

Justin Bowick put up 383 yards and three touchdowns on 20 receptions over four games this fall. He previously spent two seasons at Eastern Illinois, where he caught 43 passes for 709 yards and eight scores.

Bowick’s time in State College will overlap with that of ex-FIU receiver Eric Rivers, whom Penn State football is also expected to host on Wednesday and Thursday.

Over the weekend, James Franklin and the Nittany Lions welcomed two one-time top-50 defensive linemen to town, bringing in ex-USC and Georgia tackle Bear Alexander and former Texas A&M edge Enai White.

The transfer portal will close on December 28 for all players not participating in the College Football Playoff or later bowl games. Players on teams still in competition will have a five-day transfer window following their games.
