The Nittany Lions could be receiving another new commitment very soon as a crystal ball has been placed for Lyrick Samuel to commit to Penn State.
Penn State football favored to land 2025 top 3 WR in New York
Lyrick Samuel is a three-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, according to 247Sports, and a four-star prospect, according to On3. Samuel is from Brooklyn, NY, and plays his high school football at Erasmus Hall. He was most recently on Penn State’s campus on January 20th.
He is currently ranked as the No. 2 prospect in New York in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Samuel holds offers from Michigan State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Penn State, and several other schools. Now, 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn has placed a crystal ball with a confidence level of 6 for Samuel to commit to the Penn State football team.

Franklin said, “…His ability to play in this league, I think, is helpful,” Franklin said. “He understands what this league is all about, he also has an understanding about the playoffs as well, so I think those things are valuable, and he’s a really good guy, which I also think helps in that room.”
