Penn State tight end Theo Johnson (84) smiles after hauling in a 16-yard pass in the end zone for a touchdown in the second half of an NCAA football game against Indiana at Beaver Stadium Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, in State College, Pa. The Nittany Lions won, 33-24.

The Penn State football team has dominated Pennsylvania in recruiting over the past several cycles. But the 2025 recruiting class has been bumpy so far with some of the top prospects choosing to commit to other schools. Now, the Nittany Lions have a chance to regain some in-state momentum and that starts with the No. 1 TE in PA Andrew Olesh. On Tuesday, he announced that he had decided on his top 8 college choices.

Andrew Olesh is a 6-5 wide receiver from Center Valley, PA. This 2025 recruiting class member may play wide receiver now, but projects as a tight end at the next level. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Olesh is a four-star prospect and is listed as the No. 3 player in Pennsylvania and the No. 9 tight end in the cycle. He also ranks as the No. 1 TE in PA in the 2025 cycle.

On Tuesday, Olesh announced his top eight schools. He included Alabama, Michigan, Missouri, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, and Penn State. Olesh has visited Penn State the most out of the schools he has listed after taking 8 visits to Happy Valley.

When will Olesh take his official visit?

The Penn State football team has yet to lock in an official visit date with Olesh according to the On3 visit center. However, Olesh has locked in official visits with Alabama which he will take on May 31st. He will then follow up with an official visit on June 21st to Michigan.

If the Nittany Lions can lock in a visit with Olesh, perhaps that will swing the momentum in favor of Penn State and keep one of the top prospects in PA.
