On Saturday, Penn State football fans saw a flurry of commitments come through in a matter of hours. The 2026 recruiting class has now laid the foundation with four total verbal commits. One of those commitments was from wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers who was unranked when he made his pledge to the Nittany Lions, now he has been boosted to the No. 1 player in Delaware.

When Jahsiear Rogers made his commitment to Penn State football on Saturday, he was an unranked prospect. However, after his commitment to the Nittany Lions, the national scouts went to work. Now, Rogers has earned a three-star ranking from On3. There he is regarded as the No. 1 player in Delaware and the No. 55 receiver in the country in the 2026 recruiting class.

One thing that Rogers’ ranking doesn’t reveal is his 4.3 speed which was confirmed by Sean Fitz of On3. The Nittany Lions now have a speedy wide receiver that Troy Huhn can target.

The Lasch Bash is a weekend that typically leads to offers and potential decisions. But Penn State football could not have asked for a better start to the 2026 recruiting class. Of course, the class is led by leader and longest commit Messiah Mickens who attends Harrisburg High School. Mickens ranks as the No. 65 prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.

But on Saturday, he was pleasantly joined by his high school teammate IOL Kevin Brown who ranks as the No. 1 player in PA (No. 37 nationally). They are both joined by top-10 QB Troy Huhn who ranks as the No. 76 prospect in the cycle. With Jahsiear Rogers as the speedy wide receiver that the Nittany Lions need.

Currently, Penn State holds the No. 2 recruiting class in the country in the 2026 cycle according to On3.
