The Penn State football team has been on a recruiting hot streak. Over the weekend, the Nittany Lions secured three new commitments in the 2025 recruiting class. But one position they have been lacking to secure is additional wide receivers. The expectation in this cycle is Lyrick Samuel who continues to impress national scouts. However, that could change soon as the No. 1 WR in PA, Lex Cyrus has multiple predictions to end up in Happy Valley.
Lex Cyrus is a member of the 2025 recruiting class and is from Harrisburg (Pennsylvania). A four-star prospect who ranks as the No. 1 WR in PA according to On3. Cyrus also carries the ranking of a top-5 prospect in the Keystone State and a top-20 wide receiver in his class.
He is a prospect who has completed all of his official visits that were scheduled for the summer. He took his official visit with the Penn State football team on May 31. Then, followed that with a trip to visit South Carolina on June 7. With his decision looming another insider has stepped forward to place his prediction for Cryus to land in Happy Valley.
247Sports Pitt Insider Ed OBrien placed a crystal ball on Friday night for Cyrus in favor of the Nittany Lions. He also holds a crystal ball from Brian Dohn of 247Sports that was placed on February 22 and an RPM from Ryan Synder of On3 which was placed on June 6. All three experts are in alignment with this prospect’s decision.

The Nittany Lions had a crazy weekend of commitments and decommitments. But overall, they have started to put the finishing touches on the 2025 recruiting class. The newest member who made his decision on Sunday was Cortez Harris a four-star edge rusher from Upper Marlboro (Maryland).
Harris just completed his official visit to Penn State this past weekend which officially started on June 21. That visit went extremely well as on Sunday, Harris made his pledge to the Nittany Lions.
On3 ranks Harris, as the No. 4 prospect in Maryland and top-25 at his position. Penn State was able to beat out Maryland, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech for his commitment.
After this weekend’s madness, Penn State football holds the No. 15 class in the 2025 cycle according to On3.
