The Penn State football team continues to load up on the secondary in the 2025 recruiting class. Last Monday, it was a surprise cornerback commitment from Daryus Dixson. Today, Jahmir Joseph made his commitment to the Nittany Lions. Joseph ranks as the No.1 cornerback in New Jersey in the 2025 cycle.

On Sunday, multiple predictions were made by recruiting analysts such as Brian Dohn of 247Sports and Ryan Snyder of On3 that Jahmir Joseph would end up with the Penn State football team. Those predictions became reality on Monday when Hayes Fawcett of On3 announced that Joseph would be committing to the Nittany Lions on Twitter / X.

Joseph stands at 6-0 185 pounds and is a four-star cornerback according to On3. The Montvale, NJ native was choosing between Stanford, South Carolina, Notre Dame, and Penn State. But after his official visit to Happy Valley this past weekend his decision was made and he will join the Nittany Lions 2025 recruiting class. Joseph is regarded as the No. 4 player and the No. 1 cornerback in New Jersey.

Cornerbacks coach Terry Smith has always been able to stack solid recruiting classes for the cornerbacks he has targeted. The 2025 recruiting class has been as consistent with past classes that Smith has worked with. Losing players such as Kalen King, Daequan Hardy, and Johnny Dixon Penn State needs to have a solid future in the secondary. They can build that with additions including Xxavier Thomas, Daryus Dixson, and now Jahmir Joseph.

Penn State holds the No. 16 class in the country before the addition of Joseph according to On3. It will be interesting to see how much of an impact his additional will have on the class overall.
