Penn State football is mere hours away from its appearance in the 2024 Big Ten Championship against No. 1 Oregon. But a new report Saturday evening claims that Nittany Lions offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki may soon be set for a move approximately 180 miles to the southwest.

According to a report from Mike Asti of WV Sports Now, Kotelnicki is rumored to be among a group of finalists for the West Virginia head coaching position.

Last week, Asti tabbed the first-year Nittany Lions assistant coach as one of the early names associated with the Mountaineers job. West Virginia fired six-year head coach Neal Brown at the end of the regular season.

Under Kotelnicki, the Penn State offense heads into championship weekend as a top-25 unit in rushing (No. 25) and total yards (No.19) per game. Ranking No. 5 nationally in explosive play percentage, the Nittany Lions are No. 30 in scoring and No. 40 in passing offense this fall.
