If you happened to be in State College for the Blue-White Game this past weekend you know the conditions. Extreme and at times breathtaking wind gusts blew through Happy Valley but the show went on. The Penn State football team had its annual Blue-White Game and the fans had a chance to see football in the spring. While the game is meant to be a stepping stone before the season that has not stopped Nittany Lion QB Drew Allar from facing criticism on social media specifically from Travis May.

Analyst mocks Drew Allar after Blue-White Game performance

Travis May is the Managing Editor at A to Z Sports. He covers college football for this organization and on Monday he decided to chop up all of the missed throws from Drew Allar and his Blue-White Game performance. This video was posted to Twitter/X where it blew up and caused major overreactions.

For the record, Allar finished the Blue-White Game completing 15 of 32 passes for 202 yards and 1 touchdown pass. Did Allar miss some throws? Yes. Does the video from Travis May capture who Allar is or fairly represent his skillset? Absolutely not.

Allar finished the 2023 season with a 10-3 record throwing for 2631 yards and 25 touchdowns against 2 interceptions in his first year as the Penn State football starting QB. Considering the conditions on Saturday and the situation the Nittany Lions face at wide receiver, there is no reason to write Allar off.

Could help be on the way for Allar?

The transfer portal opens on Tuesday, April 16th. While the Nittany Lions added Julian Fleming this offseason, the question remains is it enough? Kaden Saunders had 2 catches for 27 yards and Harrison Wallace hauled in 5 catches for 72 yards in the Blue-White Game.

Penn State will look to replace KeAndre Lambert-Smith after he announced on Monday his plans to enter the transfer portal.
