Abdul Carter has been a nightmare for Big Ten offenses over the last three years. Now as he prepares to make the transition from Penn State football to the NFL, Carter’s dream is to have the same impact within the NFC East.

Speaking in the days following his NFL Draft announcement, Carter expressed that his ideal scenario is to wind up playing for his hometown Philadelphia Eagles.

“Yeah, for sure, playing for the Eagles would definitely be a dream of mine,” Carter said on Tuesday.

Carter’s dream may be somewhat of a long shot at the moment. Still chasing a championship in the NFL playoffs, Philadelphia is currently guaranteed to pick no higher than No. 25 in April’s NFL Draft. Projected to be a top-five pick, Carter will almost certainly be off the board by then unless Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman pursues a trade.

If Carter ended up in Philadelphia, he would join fellow former Penn State football stars Saquon Barkley and Jahan Dotson. Tariq Castro-Fields is also currently on the Eagles’ practice squad.
