This weekend marks the beginning of the Penn State football official visit period, where the Nittany Lions will be looking to lock down some of the top remaining talent in the 2024 recruiting class ahead of summer ball. Right now, the Nittany Lions’ class is in good shape; however, things can get a lot better for Penn State, and that may start with flipping four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Florida.

Penn State football official visit news: Lions trying to flip four-star Miami wideout commit

This weekend, one of the most important recruits on a Penn State football official visit will be four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson, a big-bodied wideout from Florida. Robinson is a major target for the Nittany Lions — who lack a wide receiver commit thus far — and according to the Recruiting Prediction Machine, Penn State is in good shape despite his commitment to Miami.

Some of the Nittany Lions’ top competition, aside from the Miami Hurricanes who currently have his commitment, appear to be Florida State and Auburn.

Still, Robinson appears to have a keen interest in playing for James Franklin and his Penn State Nittany Lions, so this weekend’s visit may go a long way in attempting to flip him from the Hurricanes. Penn State football has a number of important visitors in town on official and unofficial visits, but Robinson appears to stand out as one of the best.

So far, the Nittany Lions have a top-tier quarterback commit in the 2024 class, Ethan Grunkemeyer, but what Penn State truly lacks right now is a legitimate difference maker out wide for Grunkemeyer to throw to. Chance Robinson, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver, is ranked as the No. 135 recruit in the nation according to the ON3 Industry Rankings. Additionally, he has been ranked as the No. 24 wide receiver and the No. 20 recruit in the state of Florida. crown-pokies.app

Yes, he is committed to Miami, but the Nittany Lions will be looking to change that over the weekend.
