Standing at an impressive 6-foot-5 and weighing 265 pounds, this rising high school junior has garnered significant attention from both regional and national schools. Given his status as an in-state prospect, the Nittany Lions have expressed a considerable amount of interest in him right from the start.
According to ON3’s rankings, Roy is ranked as one of the top 70 recruits in the 2025 class. Specifically, he holds the No. 69 spot nationally, No. 9 among defensive linemen, and is the second-ranked player in the state of Pennsylvania. The Recruiting Prediction Machine indicates that Penn State football is currently one of the top three teams in contention for his commitment. Presently, Penn State is trailing the current leader, Rutgers, by a margin of 2.3%. However, today’s visit could potentially alter the situation if the coaching staff can effectively showcase their program to Roy.
How the 2025 class looks so far
The 2025 Penn State football recruiting class has made an impressive start, currently ranking as one of the best in the nation at No. 3 overall and holding the top spot in the Big Ten.
