Penn State football has struggled to recruit wide receivers in the 2025 recruiting class. However, the players they have received commitments from have been able to prove themselves on the field and are likely more talented than their recruiting ranking shows. Nittany Lion commit Koby Howard is a great example of this after his senior season debut on Saturday.

Koby Howard and his teammates at Chaminade-Madonna Prep took on St. John Bosco on Saturday evening. The game was featured on ESPN2 where Howard had the opportunity to showcase his skills on national TV.

The three-star Penn State football commit made a beautiful adjustment for this touchdown grab on the slot fade.

Where does Howard rank among the best in 2025?

The Penn State football WR commit made his commitment on August 4. He joins Jeff Exinor and Lyrick Samuel as the two other wide receivers that the Nittany Lions will look to help make an impact on the field in the 2025 recruiting class.

Howard is a three-star prospect according to On3. He ranks as the No. 70 player in Florida and the No. 108 WR in the 2025 recruiting class.

Howard made multiple highlights against a highly talented St. John Bosco team showing that he can elevate his play above his recruiting ranking.
