Penn State football is in the process of building a highly coveted recruiting class in the 2026 cycle. Among the Nittany Lions’ top commitments, no player has earned more national attention than Harrisburg (PA) offensive lineman Kevin Brown.

The state’s top prospect is turning heads once again this week – this time for his efforts in the weight room. In a clip posted to X on Monday evening, Brown is seen setting a new Harrisburg High School squat record, lifting 610 pounds.

The feat is made even more impressive when considering that Brown is six months removed from surgery on his right foot. The injury, which occurred last August, caused Brown to miss most of his junior season. After an expedited recovery, he returned to the field for Harrisburg’s playoff run in November.

Despite slipping slightly in the national rankings, Brown remains one of the top prospects in the 2026 recruiting cycle. The No. 1 player in Pennsylvania, the updated 247Sports Composite ranks Brown as the No. 6 offensive tackle and the No. 41 overall player in the class.

Still the highest-rated commitment for Penn State football in 2026 per On3, Brown was recently passed in the 247Sports rankings by Fort Cherry (PA) safety Matt Sieg. The Nittany Lions have a top 10 class according to both outlets.
