Penn State football has entered the final stretch before Saturday’s Blue-White Game. On top of wrapping things up with the 2025 version of the Nittany Lions, James Franklin and his staff are using this last week of spring practice to get some of the nation’s top prospects back on campus.

The Nittany Lions welcomed back one of the 2026 cycle’s best defensive recruits to kick off the week, as four-star Loyola Blakefield (MD) cornerback Khary Adams returned to Happy Valley. Adams posted about the visit on his social media on Monday evening.

The visit was Adams’ first trip to State College since January and his fifth visit with the Nittany Lions in the last year. He will be back for an official visit on the weekend of June 6.

The No. 3 cornerback in the country, Adams is the No. 29 overall player in the 2026 recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports. Last fall, he had 39 tackles, four interceptions, and two fumble recoveries as a junior.

As of January, On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Penn State football as a slight leader for Adams’ commitment over in-state Maryland. Adams also visited Oregon and Michigan this month. He has an official visit with the Ducks planned for the end of June. He will also take official visits to Notre Dame, South Carolina, and Auburn.

Over the weekend, Penn State football landed a commitment from DeMatha Catholic safety Darrell Carey. Carey and DeMatha teammate Lavar Keys are the Nittany Lions’ two pledges from Maryland in 2026. 247Sports currently ranks Penn State with the No. 6 class in 2026.
