For the second consecutive week, Penn State football will have the opportunity to make a strong impression on one of the top defensive backs in the 2026 recruiting cycle.
The Nittany Lions will host four-star Loyola Blakefield (MD) cornerback Khary Adams for his official visit this weekend. Adams was originally scheduled to visit Happy Valley on June 6, but announced this week that the trip had been moved up a month.
The trip will be the second time that the standout defender is interacting with the Penn State football coaching staff this week. On Thursday, Adams received an in-home visit from cornerbacks coach Terry Smith and safeties coach Anthony Poindexter.
A prospective five-star recruit, Adams is one of the top players in the entire 2026 class. He is currently the third-rated cornerback and No. 29 overall prospect in the cycle, according to 247Sports.
The visit is Adams’s sixth to Happy Valley during his recruitment. He also has official visits to South Carolina, Notre Dame, and Oregon planned for this summer.
Last weekend, the Nittany Lions kicked off official visit season by hosting Mount Miguel (CA) cornerback Brandon Arrington. The five-star defensive back will announce his commitment on July 5.
Penn State is in the midst of a recruiting hot streak for the 2026 cycle, landing eight commitments since March 25. The Nittany Lions are No. 4 in 247Sports’ national class rankings.
