The Penn State football team has taken full advantage of the official visits in June. Over the past two weeks, the Nittany Lions have now added five prospects to the 2025 recruiting class. The Nittany Lions show no sign of slowing down either. A major recruiting insider has placed a prediction that the No. 1 edge rusher in Maryland, Cortez Harris will end up in Happy Valley.

Cortez Harris ranks as the No. 1 edge rusher in Maryland according to On3. The four-star prospect from Upper Marlboro has just completed his official visit to Penn State this past weekend. It appears that the visit went extremely well as on Sunday, Steve Wiltfong of On3 placed an RPM that Harris will commit to Penn State. His prediction comes with a confidence level of 60%.

Harris is a four-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. On3 ranks the talented edge rusher as the No. 4 prospect in Maryland and top-25 at his position. Penn State will compete against Maryland, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech for his pledge.

The Nittany Lions are currently on the outside looking in for a top-10 recruiting class in the 2025 cycle. With the addition of three-star athlete Braswell Thomas on Sunday morning, Penn State holds the No. 13 recruiting class, just trailing Michigan who leapfrogged the Nittany Lions with an additional commit on Sunday.

Looking for the 18 overall commit in the class which could boost them higher in the rankings. Cortez Harris is certainly someone who can help with that effort. Since June 10 Penn State has added five prospects in the 2025 recruiting class including Daryus Dixson, Jahmir Joseph, Antonio Branch, Jabree Wallace Coleman, and Braswell Thomas.
