For the fifth time this winter, Penn State football has lost a member of its wide receiver room to the transfer portal. This time, it’s a significant contributor to the Nittany Lions’ on-field success in the passing game this fall, as junior Omari Evans is set to find a new school.
As reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday afternoon, Evans will enter the transfer portal after three seasons with Penn State football.
Evans started six games for the Nittany Lions and appeared in all 16 contests in 2024. He caught 21 passes for 415 yards and five scores, tied for second most on the roster. He finishes his Penn State football career with 564 yards and seven receiving touchdowns.
