The 2024 postseason is just about to begin, but on Wednesday, Penn State football briefly looked ahead to the 2025 season.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Big Ten released the 2025 football schedules for the Nittany Lions and other conference foes. Previously, we knew only the dates of Penn State’s three non-conference games and the Big Ten opponents for the regular season.

Penn State football will play the entire first month of the year at home before traveling to UCLA on October 4. Of note, James Franklin and the Nittany Lions will host a rematch of the Big Ten Championship Game when Oregon rolls into Happy Valley on September 27.

The program’s two bye weeks strategically fall immediately before matchups with the Ducks and at Ohio State. Penn State will travel to Columbus the first week of November. The Nittany Lions will welcome Penn State football letterman Matt Rhule back when Nebraska travels to Beaver Stadium for the penultimate week of the year. The regular season concludes with a trip to nearby Rutgers on November 29.
