Penn State football continues to capitalize on one of the program’s most important recruiting weekends of the year. On Saturday, James Franklin landed the second commitment of Lasch Bash from one of the Nittany Lions top targets in the 2026 recruiting class, Harrisburg offensive lineman Kevin Brown.

Brown’s commitment comes as the central Pennsylvania lineman makes his ninth visit to Happy Valley on Saturday for the Nittany Lions’ annual recruiting event. The state’s No. 1 prospect for the 2026 recruiting cycle, Brown is one of the top players on campus for the Lasch Bash.

A fringe five-star, Kevin Brown is the No. 28 player in the country and the cycle’s third-ranked interior offensive lineman.

Building blocks of Penn State football’s 2026 recruiting class taking shape

Saturday is a continuation of a solid summer on the trail for the Nittany Lions. Earlier in the day, Penn State football earned its first commitment of Lasch Bash weekend from 2026 Delaware wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers.

With Kevin Brown now on board, Penn State football has already put a strong foundation on its 2026 recruiting class.

In June, the Nittany Lions earned a commitment from Mission Hills (California) quarterback Troy Huhn. The top 10 passer was also back in town this weekend for the first time since his commitment.

Brown is now the second 2026 recruit from Harrisburg High School to pledge to Penn State, joining running back Messiah Mickens. Transferring from Trinity High School this offseason, Mickens is the No. 3 player in the state.

With newly minted 2026 recruiting rankings, Penn State football has one of the top classes in the country. On3 has the Nittany Lions at No. 7 in the new rankings released this week.
