BREAKING: Penn State football adds top 10 MD prospect to 2026 class

It’s another major recruiting weekend in Happy Valley, and with it brings another Penn State football commitment. On Friday, the Nittany Lions added to their future defensive back room with a pledge from St. Frances Academy (MD) cornerback Amauri Polydor.

Polydor announced his decision via social media while on his official visit with James Franklin and the Penn State staff. The trip to State College is his third in the last year and his second of the spring.

Polydor’s commitment has been trending in the Nittany Lions’ direction, with On3 and 247Sports placing predictions in favor of Penn State this week. He picked up his offer from the Nittany Lions in February.

A three-star in On3’s 2026 recruiting rankings, Polydor is the No. 8 prospect out of Maryland and the No. 47 cornerback in the cycle. He is the fourth commitment in the cornerback room for Terry Smith in 2026, following four-stars David Davis and Jaziel Hart and three-star Julian Peterson.

Prior to Polydor’s announcement, Penn State football had the No. 5 class in the cycle, according to 247Sports. The Nittany Lions have now picked up 11 commitments since March.
