The Penn State football team is looking to make a huge impression on several top prospects this weekend at the annual Lasch Bash. One of those prospects who has been a confirmed attendee is the No. 1 prospect in Pennsylvania in the 2026 recruiting class Kevin Brown. As the Nittany Lions look to inch closer to looking up the top prospect in PA.

The 2026 recruiting class for the Penn State football team is off to a phenomenal start with Messiah Mickens and Troy Huhn leading the way. But they are not settling for just two prospects, the Nittany Lions are looking to stack more talent in the cycle. The other narrative they are looking to rewrite in this class is keeping the best prospects in Pennsylvania home and playing for Penn State.

Mickens is just one of several players the Nittany Lions hope to keep in-state. One of the top priorities for Penn State is to secure a commitment from IOL Kevin Brown who will be teammates with Mickens this fall at Harrisburg High School. On3 and Rivals rank Brown as the No. 1 player in PA, he is also ranked as the No. 3 IOL in the country (No. 37 nationally).

On Tuesday, Steve Wilfong of On3 confirmed that Brown will be back in Happy Valley this weekend for the annual Lasch Bash. This will be Brown’s 9th visit to Penn State during his recruitment.

Brown had great things to say about the Nittany Lion staff

While Kevin Brown is drawing interest from various top schools, the top prospect in PA has a great appreciation for Penn State football. He shared some of the positives of Happy Valley with Wiltfong recently.

Over the eight visits he has been on to Penn State, Brown has been able to form a strong bond with James Franklin and Phil Trautwein. He told On3, “Their staff is excellent too.”

He also understands that Penn State is one of the top programs in the country, “Their program is top-notch and they have a lot of talent.”

Brown will get a chance to connect with many Penn State football commits this weekend at the Lasch Bash as he zeros in on his college decision.
