Micah Parsons and Kevin Brown already share one bond on the gridiron, and the Penn State football icon is hard at work in the hopes that one day, it will be two. This week, Parsons joined the Nittany Lions’ efforts to convince Pennsylvania’s top prospect in the 2026 recruiting cycle to come to Happy Valley.

The recruiting pitch came with the through line of Harrisburg High School, where Parsons is an alumnus and Brown is a rising junior. Quote tweeting footage of Brown from the Rivals Camp Series in Jacksonville, Florida, this week, the ex-Nittany Lion made it known where he’d like the offensive lineman to continue his college career.

“Harrisburg!!! Where the bullies get bullied!! #Weare?” Parsons wrote on X on Thursday.

And Parsons isn’t the only ex-Penn State football player thinking along those lines. Former tight end Adam Breneman also took to social media to express his thoughts on Kevin Brown, comparing him to the Dallas Cowboys edge rusher.

“Harrisburg, PA’s best prospect since Micah Parsons,” Breneman wrote. “[Kevin Brown] balled out today and proved he’s one of the best few OL in the country. Future Penn Stater?!?”

The top in-state prospect, Kevin Brown is the No. 3 interior offensive lineman and the No. 28 player in On3’s 2026 recruiting cycle rankings. In addition to Penn State football, the 6-5, 260-pound four-star holds offers from Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, and Tennessee, among others.

Brown earned his offer from James Franklin and the Nittany Lions last June. He’s been to campus seven times so far in his recruitment.

While much attention has been focused on the recent run of commitments in the 2025 cycle, James Franklin and the Nittany Lions also added a significant piece to their 2026 recruiting class this week.

On Tuesday, Penn State football earned a commitment from four-star Mission Hills (California) quarterback Troy Huhn. The No. 6 passer in 2026 per On3’s rankings, Huhn is a rare, yet vital, dip into the West Coast talent field for Franklin.

“Coach Franklin did a great job, and so did the whole entire staff,” Huhn said following his commitment. “I felt very welcome when I was there. It felt like home walking in that office. I felt really supported; they all loved me, and I really appreciate the love they showed me. I felt like a priority when I was there, and that means a lot to me.”

The California quarterback is the second commitment for Penn State football in the 2026 recruiting cycle. Huhn joins Kevin Brown’s new teammate, four-star running back Messiah Mickens, who committed to the Nittany Lions last August. Mickens transferred from Trinity High School to Harrisburg earlier this spring.
