When the Penn State football team returns home this weekend, it will face the Indiana Hoosiers. This game will hopefully serve as a “get right” game for the Nittany Lions. After the team suffered their first loss of the season, they are optimistic that they will bounce back in a big way against the Hoosiers at home. The return to Beaver Stadium is massive for the team but also for future prospects. The Nittany Lions will be hosting several uncommitted prospects this weekend. One of the most notable recruiting targets visiting State College this weekend is Jyron Hughley, who has ties to Ja’Juan Seider.
Nephew of Ja’Juan Seider visiting Penn State for Indiana game
Jyron Hughley is currently unranked on all national recruiting sites, including 247sports, On3, and Rivals. But that doesn’t mean that this isn’t a top target for the class of 2026. The Penn State football team has yet to secure a prospect in this class, but that could change after this weekend.
Hughley holds offers from Penn State, Florida State, Syracuse, Marshall, and Flordia Atlantic. He plays quarterback, but he is listed as an ATH because of his versatility.
The most interesting thing about Jyron Hughley is that he is the nephew of PSU running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider. Penn State offered Hughley back in 2021, and he was last on campus about a year ago, in late October of 2022.
He currently attends Glades Day School in Belle Glade, Florida. He is someone to be aware of now because once his recruiting ranking becomes available, there’s a good chance that several other schools will look to offer this dynamic athlete of the future.
