November’s White Out is already turning into a massive recruiting event for both the Penn State football and basketball programs. On Monday, 2026 five-star Reidsville (North Carolina) tight end/forward Kendre Harrison confirmed he will visit Happy Valley on November 9 to watch the Nittany Lions face the Washington Huskies.

Harrison made the announcement via social media. He also announced trips to Oregon this upcoming weekend and to Tennessee on October 19.

Earning over 40 combined football and basketball offers, Harrison narrowed his recruitment to six programs – Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, Oregon, Penn State, and Tennessee – in July. All six have promised to allow him to play both sports at the collegiate level.

Measuring in at 6-7, 250 pounds, Kendre Harrison is regarded as the top tight end in the 2026 class by all four major recruiting sites. The five-star is ranked as the No. 1 player out of North Carolina and the nation’s No. 7 prospect, according to 247Sports.

Harrison has gained just as much attention on the hardwood, now evaluated as the 30th overall recruit in the country in 247Sports’ 2026 rankings. Harrison is the second ranked power forward in the class and the No. 2 prospect out of the Tar Heel State.

James Franklin and Penn State football are out to a fast start in the 2026 recruiting cycle, with six commitments and a No. 3 class ranking.

Meanwhile across the street, Mike Rhoades and the Nittany Lions basketball program have yet to land a commitment in the 2026 recruiting cycle.
