One of the nation’s top prospects is set to be in Happy Valley this weekend. On Thursday morning, Coatesville (PA) 2027 five-star interior offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller confirmed that he will visit Penn State football on Saturday.

Hiller will be on hand as the Nittany Lions close out week three of spring practice. The 6-5, 300-pound offensive lineman is coming off visits to South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama at the end of March.

The in-state prospect last visited State College for the White Out in November, the second of back-to-back visits to Happy Valley. Coming off that November 9 visit, On3’s Steve Wiltfong predicted that Hiller would commit to the Nittany Lions.

Already among the elite prospects in 2027, Hiller would add to the list of highly-touted in-state players to pledge to James Franklin if he were to join the Nittany Lions’ recruiting class. He is ranked No. 25 overall and the top player in Pennsylvania per the 247Sports Composite. The On3 Industry Rankings have him slightly lower, No. 35 overall and No. 3 in the state behind Penn State commits Kemon Spell and Khalil Taylor.

No matter what order you rank Spell, Taylor, and Hiller, what’s clear is that the Keystone State is producing a talented crop of prospects in the 2027 recruiting class. Commitments from Taylor and Spell, as well as Delaware’s Layton Von Brandt, have pushed Penn State football to the top of 247Sports’ early 2027 class rankings.

Ohio State, Alabama, and Texas are the only other programs with commitments for the cycle.
