Over the weekend, Penn State football kicked off the summer’s official visit season by hosting top 2026 defender Brandon Arrington. Evidently, the Nittany Lions made quite the impression during the California cornerback’s first trip to State College.
Arrington took to social media multiple times throughout the weekend, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at his visit.
The five-star defender even spent time with true freshman linebacker and Penn State football legacy LaVar Arrington II. While there’s no relation between the two families, LaVar Arrington has been busy convincing the Mount Miguel defensive back to join his son in Happy Valley.
Arrington is the top cornerback in the 2026 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 2 prospect out of California and the No. 13 player in the country.
What’s next for five-star Penn State target Brandon Arrington?
This weekend’s trip to State College was the first of five official visits Arrington has lined up for the summer. He will have a month to contemplate his time with the Nittany Lions before resuming his visits in June.
Brandon Arrington official visit schedule:
- Penn State – May 2
- Texas A&M – June 5
- Alabama – June 13
- USC – June 17
- Oregon – June 20
After taking his final visit to Oregon during the penultimate weekend in June, Arrington will then have two weeks to reach a decision before announcing his commitment on July 5.
