James Franklin and Penn State football are wrapping up a busy week on the recruiting trail with a jammed-packed junior day back home on Saturday. One of the top prospects in attendance this weekend has the Nittany Lions high on his list of potential programs.

Delaware (OH) running back Favour Akih is making a return trip to Happy Valley after visiting for the Ohio State game last November. In a recent interview with On3’s Steve Wiltfong, the four-star running back had high praise for Penn State football.

“Penn State is one of my dream schools along with Alabama,” Akih told the outlet. “So I would take every chance and opportunity I get to be in Happy Valley. The atmosphere and coaches there is amazing. I personally feel like they develop guys very well and prepare them for the next level and life in general.”

On3 ranks Akih as the No. 7 running back and the No. 76 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting cycle. While 247Sports has a crystal ball for Akih to commit to Iowa State, the Ohio running back has visited Michigan State, NC State, Ohio State, and Penn State over the last month.
