Former Penn State football linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson appears set to find a new home on the West Coast while still staying in the Big Ten.
On Monday, On3 insiders Pete Nakos and Steve Wiltfong both predicted the redshirt sophomore to commit to USC out of the transfer portal. Robinson is coming off a visit with Lincoln Riley and the Trojans this past weekend.
Robinson had a promising outlook for the Nittany Lions in 2025. With Kobe King departing for the NFL and Tony Rojas recovering from offseason surgery, the Pittsburgh native was on his way to more on-field opportunities this spring and into fall camp.
The former consensus four-star’s Penn State football career ends with 13 tackles over 17 games.
Penn State will not face USC again until the 2026 season inside Beaver Stadium.

Robinson is one of four former Nittany Lions to hit the transfer portal this spring. So far, only redshirt freshman cornerback Jon Mitchell has officially come off the board, committing to Georgia Tech on Friday.
Back in Happy Valley, reports suggest Penn State is trending in the right direction for highly-coveted Syracuse wide receiver Trebor Pena.
