Penn State football 2027 wide receiver commit Khalil Taylor picked up an offer from Notre Dame earlier this month. The Irish have been a thorn in the Nittany Lions’ side on the recruiting trail throughout June, but the standout western Pennsylvania prospect says he’s only interested in staying home.

Speaking to On3’s Chad Simmons on Friday, Taylor doubled down on his commitment to the Nittany Lions and said he is shutting down his recruitment.

“I love it up there,” said Taylor, who was just in State College last weekend for the annual Lasch Bash. “Every time I go up there, it’s always a good vibe. Always meeting new people, everybody speaking to me, showing me love. I just love it up there. The fans showing me love. I just love it.

“It’s just a family. Like, this is everybody together. It’s just wonderful.”

In March, five-star running back commit Kemon Spell shut down his recruitment after also receiving an offer from Notre Dame.

Taylor is the most recent addition to the Nittany Lions’ 2027 recruiting class, committing at the end of March. The Seton LaSalle (PA) pass catcher is ranked as the No. 3 receiver and No. 18 overall player in the class by On3. All three pledges in Penn State’s top-ranked class are valued as top-32 recruits and top-six players at their respective positions.
