For the second time this week, Penn State football fans got the “good tweet” from James Franklin. Of course, that’s about the We Are Better post on Twitter /X whenever the Nittany Lions secure a new commitment. Penn State has added 2025 recruiting class member Antonio Branch after he made his commitment official on Wednesday night.

The dominos began to fall on Monday, June 10 when 2025 recruiting class CB Daryus Dixson from Mater Dei pledged his commitment to Penn State. From there, it was Jahmir Joseph this past Monday who announced that he would be joining the Nittany Lions. On Wednesday, cornerback Antonio Branch made his commitment official in a post on Twitter / X.

Branch wrote, “Aye we are family I’m home and here to stay let’s ride.” As a member of the 2025 recruiting class, Branch is from Miami (Florida). Standing at 6-2 it appears that the Nittany Lions are looking for the long wingspan defensive backs this cycle. As Branch’s measurements are similar to Dixson’s and Joseph’s.

A four-star prospect according to On3, Branch attends Booker T. Washington High School. He currently is ranked as a top 60 cornerback in the 2025 cycle. He had three official visits scheduled, Nebraska which he visited on April 16, Penn State on May 31, and Louisville on June 21. But Branch chose to make his commitment before taking his final official visit.

Reviewing the 2025 recruiting class

While it has felt at times that the Penn State football team was falling behind on the recruiting trail, James Franklin has countered that over the past two weeks. Before Branch’s commitment, the Nittany Lions were ranked No. 12 in the country for its 2025 recruiting class.

Top prospects include Daryus Dixson, Alvin Henderson, and Jahmir Joseph. But with the addition of Antonio Branch, the Nittany Lions will likely see another recruiting class increase.
