Blue-chip WR, Penn State football target sets commitment date

Penn State football fans know the commitment timeline for one of the top remaining prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. As wide receiver, Taz Williams is set to make his college decision on Saturday. The Nittany Lions have already secured commitments from two wide receivers but will they be able to add two more by the end of the week?

Taz Williams is a four-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class according to the On3 Industry Ranking. The blue-chip wide receiver is originally from Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania) and has played his high school football in Red Oak (Texas).

Over the past two months, he has finished his official visits. They included trips to SMU (May 10), Texas A&M (June 6), Penn State (June 14), and Michigan (June 21).  Williams has announced on Twitter / X that he will officially make his college decision on Saturday, July 13 at 4 pm.

Williams ranks as the No. 52 player in Texas and the No. 52 WR in the 2025 cycle (No.341 nationally). He currently holds a crystal ball to Penn State from Lions247’s Tyler Calvaruso that was placed on July 6. On the other hand, he also holds an RPM prediction from Chad Simmons of On3 that was placed on April 2.

On Tuesday night, Penn State football fans were introduced to the newest member of the 2025 recruiting class. Randy Adirika is a three-star defensive lineman from Miami (Florida). He attends Miami Central High School where he is teammates with Penn State football QB commit Bekkem Kritza.

On Tuesday afternoon, Adirika was predicted to land with the Nittany Lions and just a few short hours later he made his decision.

According to On3’s Industry Rankings No. 44 defensive lineman and the No. 62 prospect in Florida. With the addition, Penn State has the No. 17 ranked recruiting class in the 2025 cycle according to On3.
