It’s another massive official visit weekend for Penn State football in the 2026 recruiting cycle. But on Friday, the Nittany Lions’ second 7-on-7 tournament of the summer brought some of the nation’s top prospects from the class of 2027 and beyond to Happy Valley as well.
One of the noteworthy targets in attendance was 2027 Harper Woods (MI) wide receiver Dakota Guerrant. Working alongside 2026 Penn State quarterback commit Peyton Falzone, Guerrant lived up to his early expectations with several highlight reel-worthy catches.
The camp marks Guerrant’s third trip to State College, visiting with the Nittany Lions during November’s White Out and then again in March. The 6’1″, 190-pound pass catcher has already earned five-star status and is the nation’s No. 4 receiver and No. 21 overall prospect per the 247Sports Composite.
Moving forward, Penn State will have to make up ground against several traditional Big Ten rivals to have a chance in Guerrant’s recruitment. Guerrant has already made more than a dozen trips to Michigan over the last two years, with another eight visits to Ohio State and five to Michigan State.
Penn State already holds a commitment from another top-10 receiver prospect in 2027, Seton LaSalle’s (PA) Khalil Taylor. With the early foundation for a record-setting cycle, the Nittany Lions currently hold the top-ranked class in the country.
