The Penn State football team has had several past and present quarterbacks represented at the Elite 11 Finals. Penn State football quarterbacks including Sean Clifford, Drew Allar, Jaxon Smolik, and Ethan Grunkemeyer just to name the most recent players that participated. Receiving an invite allows a player to join a prestigious club and compete against the top prospects in the country. While Malik Washington is not a Nittany Lion commit, the 2025 recruiting class member is projected to end up in Happy Valley. On Tuesday, he received an invite to the Elite 11 Finals.
Penn State football 2025 QB target receives Elite 11 Finals invite
The Elite 11 Finals presents the opportunity for a large amount of exposure. Not only do players have a chance to be re-evaluated by national scouts, but they also have the chance to impress college coaches and potentially gain additional offers. Malik Washington has been a Penn State football target for quite some time.
A four-star recruit according to On3, Washington is a prospect who is recognized as a top 5 player in Maryland in the 2025 recruiting class. He also ranks as a top-25 quarterback prospect in the nation. He has visited Happy Valley more than any school making the trip to State College ten times. On3 gives the Nittany Lions a 46% chance to land Washington.
Now, the talented quarterback has officially received an invite to the Elite 11 Finals. This was announced on Tuesday morning on Twitter/X.
Bekkem Kritza impresses at Elite 11 Regional
Regardless of the decision made by Washington and where he chooses to play college football, Penn State has a QB commit. Bekkem Kritza recently returned to State College, PA to showcase his skills at the Elite 11 Regionals. A video surfaced that gave Penn State fans a glimpse at the future as the Kritza to Lyrick Samuel connection was on full display.
Kirtza holds a three-star ranking on On3 but itβs his size and arm power thatβs more intriguing than his ranking. He stands at 6-5 and has an incredible arm. Penn State is in great hands with the future ahead if thatβs with Washington and Kritza or with Kritza himself.
