The Penn State football team has a question mark on offense in 2024 and that’s specifically at wide receiver. While many are aware of what Julian Fleming and Harrison Wallace can do on the field, it’s the unproven players behind them that make people uneasy. But that’s where 2024 recruiting class signees Josiah Brown, Peter Gonzalez, and Tyseer Denmark can elevate the room. Ahead of his arrival with the Nittany Lions, Denmark is training to be a potential instant impact player. In a video that even caught the attention of Jahan Dotson.

Tyseer Denmark was a bit of a surprise pick-up in the 2024 recruiting class. He was committed to the Oregon Ducks until he took an official visit to Happy Valley in the middle of June. Then, he flipped his commitment to Penn State. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native has helped the Nittany Lions and the initiative to dominate the state.
Denmark held a three-star ranking and was the 13th-ranked player in PA according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Now, he continues to train and prepare for his enrollment on social media where he appears to be ready for the next chapter of his career.
Denmark recognized by Jahan Dotson
Not only is Tyseer Denmark preparing for his arrival in Happy Valley, but he’s catching eyes as well. Former first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft Jahan Dotson knows what it takes to be a successful in-state wide receiver product at Penn State and in the NFL.
Dotson was a similarly ranked high school prospect. As a member of the 2018 recruiting class, Dotson was a three-star prospect and listed as the No. 12 player in PA. During his Penn State football career, he collected 183 receptions for 2,757 yards, and 25 touchdowns. He went on to be selected 16th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders where he plays to date.
Denmark’s video caught the eye of Dotson as he quoted his tweet and said, “I see some work.” It will be interesting to see if the true freshman wide receiver can push for playing time this fall.
