November could end with a massive commitment for both the Penn State football and basketball programs. On Monday night, 2026 five-star tight end/forward Kendre Harrison announced he will make his decision on November 30.

Sharing the news with On3’s Hayes Fawcett, the Reidsville (NC) prospect will choose between Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, Oregon, Penn State, and Tennessee. All six schools have agreed to let him pursue football and basketball.

Kendre Harrison is the nation’s top tight end and the No. 15 recruit in 2026, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He visited Happy Valley earlier this month to watch Penn State football down Washington in the White Out game.

“There’s no school in the country, there’s no program in the country that is doing what we’re doing with tight ends now, and really over the last 10 years,” James Franklin said in his weekly press conference Monday. “[Tight ends coach] Ty Howle has come into that position as a Penn State letterman, and I think has taken it to a whole other level.

“We’re recruiting the best tight ends in the country. We’re developing the best tight ends in the country. It’s a competitive room. You’ve got to embrace that. Then, you just look at what’s happening after they get done playing at Penn State. They’re all getting their degrees, and they’re all getting drafted, and the majority of them are getting drafted very high.”

On the hardwood, Kendre Harrison ranks as the nation’s No. 2 power forward and the No. 30 prospect overall, according to 247Sports.

Landing Harrison would be a significant win for Mike Rhoades, who just signed the highest-ranked recruiting class in Penn State basketball history on Sunday. The Nittany Lions’ 2024 signing class was ranked No. 19 in the country per 247Sports.
